What Our Metal Pressing Service Offers

Kirmell provides a complete range of metal presswork services, supplying components to industries across the UK, Europe, Asia, and North America. We offer countless variations of presswork metals, tailored to exact specifications.

Deep Drawn & Heavy Presswork

We have developed particular expertise in deep drawn presswork and heavy drawn pressings, producing durable parts for applications such as material handling equipment and robotic systems. Our capabilities ensure complex shapes can be manufactured with accuracy and repeatability.

Pressing Capacity & Equipment

With more than 100 presses in operation, ranging up to 250 tonnes, Kirmell is equipped for projects of every scale. We work with both sheet and coil feed, and our facilities include CNC-controlled brake presses up to 4 metres and modern brake presses up to 160 tonnes.

Engineering Presswork & Toolroom Support

Our in-house engineering presswork team works closely with customers at every stage — from prototype development to production. We also operate a fully equipped toolroom for press tool manufacture, repair, and maintenance, enabling rapid response to customer requests and shorter lead times for development samples.

Flexible Production Runs

Kirmell operates a highly adaptable production control system, meaning we can handle everything from short-run custom sheet metal stamping to large-batch precision metal stamping. Every project is supported with expert advice on design and material selection, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and quality results.

Presswork Materials

Kirmell manufactures metal pressings using a wide range of materials, including mild steel, spring steel, and non-ferrous metals up to 10 mm thickness, as well as wire and rod from 2 mm to 20 mm. We can also accommodate aluminium and other specialist materials on request, depending on customer requirements.

All of our metal presswork components are produced to strict specifications and tight tolerances. Working in close collaboration with customers, we ensure every part meets functional and performance standards. To guarantee consistency and reliability, our processes are fully aligned with ISO 9002 (EN29002) quality standards.
