Our Metal Pressings Services
Kirmell has developed particular expertise in a variety of quality metal presswork types, including heavy drawn pressings and deep drawn pressings. We manufacture a wide range of material handling components, including parts for robotic material handling.
We run more than 100 presses, with capacities up to 250 tonnes, with both sheet and coil feed facilities, including new CNC-controlled brake presses with 4-metre capacity and modern brake presses up to 160 tonne capacity.
Kirmell operates a highly flexible production control system which allows us to take on short-run projects and large batches. Production facilities are under constant review to ensure we can meet all customer requirements.
Our experience and expertise can be called upon at any stage of a project. Customers regularly request support with component development and prototype work, for a wide range of industries. As well as help with design and material selection, the company’s in-house toolroom can undertake rapid tool production and upgrading, so that we can produce development samples in the shortest possible time.
Presswork Materials
We manufacture metal pressings from mild steel, spring steel and non-ferrous metals up to 10mm and wire/rod from 2mm to 20mm. Aluminium and other materials can usually be accommodated if requested by the customer.
Our metal pressings are custom-made to strict specifications and tight tolerances, via close liaison and development with our customers. Our customer quality needs are exacting and always met, to ISO 9002 (EN29002) standards.
