Why Choose the P Type? The P type is the only shoot bolt in the Kirmell range designed for cable operation. Rather than being retracted by hand directly at the bolt, a cable attachment allows the bolt to be released remotely — making it suited to trailer tail gates operated from the side or rear of a vehicle, gates where the operator cannot easily reach the bolt, and fabricated assemblies where the release point needs to be positioned away from the bolt body itself. The spring mechanism returns the bolt automatically after each release.
